Healthy Banana flower vada

Banana flower is a rich source of minerals, vitamins, and fiber and aids in digetion. It is said to be helpful in diabetics also. This recipe banana flower vada is healthy,very crispy and crunchy. Here we do not use onions. You can enjoy it for 2 to 3 days, if kept in fridge for 4 to 5 days.
Ingredients:
Healthy banana flower – 1 medium size, 100 gms florets, picked and cleaned after removing the hard parts – calyx and pistil. Chopped them fine and keep aside in water with little haldi,
Channa dal – 120 gms,washed and soaked for 2 hrs,
Rice flour – 2 tablesp,
Salt,
Red chilli – 3,
Green chilli – 3,
Chopped ginger – 1 tsp,
Jeera – 1/4 tsp,
Dhania seeds – 1 Tablesp,
Crushed (fried ) peanuts – 1 Tablesp,
Course powder of 2 cloves, 1/2 inch cinnamon and 2 pinch of sounf,
Chopped coriander leaves – 1 Tablesp,
Chopped curry leaves – 2 tsp,
Oil to deep fry.
Method:
1).Grind both chilli, dhania seeds, salt, jeera into a course paste in a blender.Remove and keep it aside.
2).Add dal into blender and grind it into a course paste with out adding water. Remove it into a mixing bowl.
3).Add chopped banana flower and mix well.
3).Add remaining ingredients, ground paste and check salt. Mix all the ingredients
Very well.
4).Make round tikki and fry them in oil till light golden in colour. Remove them onto a kitchen tissue to absorb excess oil if any.
5).Serve this very healthy, very tasty snack as starter/ with evening tea.
Tip:
You can prepare them in Air using minimum oil in Air fryer.
