Cauliflower Bullets

Ingredients:

Cauliflower(about 300gms)-1

Potato,Medium-3,boiled peeled and mashed

Salt

Crushed pepper-2pinches

Haldi-2pinches

Ginger and green chilli paste-1/2Tsp

Bread Crumbs-from 3 slices

Cornflakes,crushed-1/2cup

Chopped Coriander-1Tablesp

Garam Masala-1/2Tsp

Red chilli powder-1/2Tsp

Cornflour solution with 2tablesp. of flour and 5tablesp of water

Method:

1)Wash cauliflower under running water and separate it into florets (preferbly of gooseberry size).Immerse them in water with little haldi and salt for 15min

2)Drain the water and parboil them with little salt .Drain and keep them aside

3)Mix potato mash,pepper,chilli powder,salt, ginger chilli paste,chopped coriander,bread crumbs,garam masala and make a smooth paste

4)Take a floret and cover it completely with potato mix.Prepare all florets like this

5)Dip the coated florets in cornflour solution and roll them in crushed cornflakes.

6)Deep fry them under medium high heat till golden in colour.Remove them on a paper napkin to absorb excess oil if any

7)Put a toothpick and enjoy with any sauce/chutney along with evening tea or serve as a starter

Tip

You can insert a long toothpick into stalk of the floret before frying. Later Wrap a foil piece around it to look like a (chicken)drumstick.But you have to take bigger florets with stalk intact.Easy to handle and attractive for kids.
