This cruchy, healthy tea time snack is prepared with peanuts coated with nachini flour/ finger millet flour.
Ingredients:
Raw panuts/ ground nuts – 250 Gms,
Nachini/ ragi flour/ finger millet flour – 35 Gms, ( you can use more ),
Rice flour or besan – 20 Gms,
Salt,
Oil – to deep fry,
Red chilli powder – 1 Tsp,
Haldi – 2 pinch,
dhania powder – 1 Tsp,
Ginger garlic paste – 1/4 Tsp,
Curry leaves – few ,chopped fine,
Ajwain – 2 pinch,
Baking soda – A pinch,
Method:
1).Wash the peanuts once and drain the water completely. Add flours along with all the ingredients except oil. Gently mix the masalas with peanuts using clean hand. Add a tsp of hot oil and few tsp of water to the mix and again mix well. See that the peanuts are coated well with the wet flour mix. Check salt and keep it aside.
2).Heat oil and put coated peanuts into oil. Fry them under low medium heat till crispy. Remove them on to a kitchen tissue to absorb excess oil if any.
3).Serve this easy,healthy and crispy peanut snack with evening tea. It is a sure hit with kids. Can be served to diabetics but in moderation.
