Vegetarian Omelette

A Vegetarian snack Recipe.

Ingredients:

Urad Dal with out skin-6tablesp.(soaked for 2hrs).

Gram flour-2tablesp.

Onion-1,Medium,chopped very fine.

Green chillies-2,chopped very fine.

Ginger garlic paste-1/4tsp.

Crushed pepper powder-1/8tsp.

Coriander leaves-1tablesp,chopped very fine.(optional).

Salt.

Milk-2 tablesp

Baking soda-a pinch.

Oil to prepare omelette.

Method:

1) Grind soaked urad dal into a very fine paste using a little water.keep it aside.

2) Mix basan with milk to form a paste.

3) Add this paste to urad dal batter and add water slowly to form a batter of pouring consistency (with out forming lumps).

4) Add all the remaining ingredients except oil.

5) Mix well and check salt.

6) Heat a nonstick pan,pour laddleful of batter and spread it into a round omelette.

7) Drizzle some oil on and over the edges of omelette and cook slowly under medium low heat as we have added raw onion and chillies.

8) Brown on both sides and remove.Serve them immediately as a snack/side dish.

Tip:
2 pinches of flax seed powder can be added to give some stickiness (like egg white)to the batter
