These fritters are very easy to prepare and they are a sure hit with kids. I took yelakki banana for this as this is more sweetish variety than others.
Ingredients:
Yelakki banana ( small size ) – 4,
Sugar – 1 Tsp , ( optional for the batter)
Salt – A pinch,
Baking soda – 1/8 Tsp,
All purpose flour – 4 Tablesp,
Corn flour – 2 Tablesp,
Rice flour – 1 Tablesp,
Method:
1).Mix all the 3 flours in a mixing bowl and prepare a bhajji consistency batter by adding water. It should not be too thick or too thin. Add baking soda, Salt and mix well. Keep it aside.
2).wash banana once and remove the peels. Cut each banana vertically into 4 parts.
3).Dip each banana piece in the batter, ( shake a little to remove excess batter) and drop in hot oil. Fry under low medium heat till light golden in colour.
4).Remove them on to a tissue paper to absorb excess oil if any.
5).Serve these crispy , yummy fritters with tomato sauce or as it is.
Tip:
You can add a pinch of ajwain to the batter if you desire.
