This curry is very tasty and healthy. Can quickly be prepared in cooker.
Ingredients:
Arbi leaves – 50 Gms, washed and chopped fine,
Mung dal with out husk – 50 Gms, washed and soaked in water for 20 minutes,
Onion – 1, medium, chopped the,
Green chilli – 2, chopped fine,
Curry leavs – Few,
Chopped coriander leaves – 1 Tablesp,
Mustard seeds – 1/4 Tsp,
Jeera – 1/4 Tsp,
Crushed garlic cloves – 4,
Oil – 1 Tablesp,
Haldi – A pinch,
Salt,
Method:
1).Heat oil in a ( preferably 3 litres ) cooker , add mustard seeds, jeera, curry leaves, crushed garlic and fy for few seconds.
2).Add chilli, onion fry til onion turns soft. Add soaked mung dal and chopped arbi leaves.
3).Add salt, haldi, and mix well. Now sprinkle 2 Tablesp of water over curry .Mix once and allow 2 whistles.
4).Remove lid and check for any water remaining with curry.If there is, let the cooker be on flame till curry becomes dry. Sprinkle coriander over it. Can be served with flat breads and rice preparations.
