Flavourful Poha pulav

This is a simple dish, light on stomach with easily available ingredients in our kitchen
Ingredients:
Medium thick Poha / pressed rice – 250 Gms,
Green chillies – 4, slit each vertically into two,
Green peas – 50 Gms, preferably fresh,
Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 Tsp,
Haldi – 2 Pinches,
Jeera – 1/2 Tsp,
Lemon juice – 1 Tsp,
Dhania powder – 1 Tsp,
Potato – 2, medium, washed, peeled, and cut into small cubes,
Chopped coriander leaves – 1 Tablesp,
Cloves – 2, cardamom – 2, cinnamon – Two 1/4″ pieces,
small bay leaf – 1,
Garam masala – 1/4 Tsp,
Salt,
Oil – 3 Tablesp, ( replace 1 Tablesp of ghee and 2 tablesp of oil ),
Cashew nuts fried in few drops of oil – 1 Tablsp,
Method:
1).Wash Poha in a collander to remove any dust particles. Sqeeze out little water and let it soften till use.
2).Heat oil add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, jeera, and bay leaf ,fry for a second. Add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell goes.
3).Add chillies, haldi, dhania powder, potato pieces and peas along with salt. Fry for a minute and add 100 ml water.let it cook till potato becomes soft. and no water is left.
4).Add Poha and mix well .cover , sprinkle some water and garam masala . Mix and let it cook under low heat for 2 minutes.
5).Check Poha and if necessary again sprinkle little water , When Poha is tender sprinkle a tsp of lemon juice and chopped coriander. Mix gently with out breaking Poha. Garnish with fried cashew nuts.
6).Serve as light break fast or evening snack. No side dish is necessary.
