Ingredients:
400 gms lobiya (soaked overnight)
100gms urad dal (without husk)
2 tblsp jeera
100 gms green chillies
100 gms dhaniya seeds
Salt
Curry leaves (handful)
Coriander leaves (handful)
1/4 tsp hing
Method:
1. Drain water completely from soaked lobiya and urad dal. keep in a collander.
2. Grind chillies, dhania seeds and jeera seeds into a course paste. Remove and keep it aside.
3. Grind lobiya, urad dal, hing and salt in the same jar to get a course paste of them. Add curry leaves and coriander. Run mixie again for a min.
4. Mix chilli masala and dal paste throughly. Check salt.
5. Put small rounds of the paste on a plastic sheet. Keep it under sun to dry for 3-4days (Turning them once in while) till they become crisp.
6. Deep fry the sun dried cryspies in oil.Serve with hot sambar rice/side dish preserve them in air tight container.
7. Note:
Once in while. put them under sun to keep them away from infestation of insects.
8. Tips:
a. You can also substitute green chillies with red chillies.
b. You can grind the dal in two batches.
