Egg less Chelsea buns

Here is an easy method to prepare Chelsea buns. These buns are popular in united kingdom.The dough prepared in this method is basic recipe for white bread ,but can be used to prepare different types of buns also.
Ingredients:
All purpose flour / maida – 2 Cups, ( with measuring cup),
Sugar – 4 Tablespoons,
Salt – A pinch,
Instant dry yeast – 2 Tsp,
Oil – 2 Tablesp,+ 1/2 Tsp for brushing the dough,
Melted Butter – 2 Tablesp, unsalted,
Raisins and nuts like almond slivers and cashew for stuffing – 5 Tablesp,( I added some tutty fritty also to look attractive ),
Cinnamon and nutmeg powders – 2 pinches each,
Milk as per requirement, ( lukewarm water can be used in place of milk ),
Method:
1).Seive flour with salt in a mixing bowl and make a well in the centre of flour.
2).Put oil, yeast and a tablesp of sugar. Add some warm water / milk and leave it for 5 minutes.
3).Prepare a soft and sticky dough using little milk. Put it on kitchen platform ,dust some flour and knead it for few minutes till it forms a smooth ,non sticky and elastic dough.Smear little oil all over the dough and cover it lightly with a wet towel.Wait until it doubles in size.
4).Meanwhile prepare stuffing by mixing nuts and raisins along with cinnamon nutmeg powder and remaining sugar.
5).Place the doubled dough on a flat surface, punch it and prepare a rectangular sheet of 3/4 th cm.thickness. Brush whole rectangle with melted butter.Spread the stuffing evenly over it.
6).Roll it tightly.Secure the edges with little moisture. Cut the rolled log into 1 and 1/2 ” size pieces. Arrange them in greased baking tray cut side up leaving little space between them. Wait till they puff up and brush them with little milk.
7).Bake them in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes at 180 degree C. Serve them with tea.
Tip:
This basic dough can be used to prepare different types of breads like dinner rolls, chocolate cinnamon buns and croissants etc.
