Drumstick and Urad Dal Vada

Ingredients:

3 – drumsticks
1 tbsp – channa dal
250 g – dehusked urad dal, soaked for 3 to 4 hours along wih channa dal
green chillies, chopped fine
2 – onion, chopped fine
1 tsp – chopped ginger
2 tsp – chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp – chopped curry leaves
oil for frying
salt

Method:

1.Wash, scrape & cut drumsticks into 3-inch pieces
2.Boil with some salt till soft, (but not mushy)
3.Scoop out the flesh & keep aside.
4.Grind dal with salt & minimum amount of water to a thick fine paste.
5.Add all the ingredients except oil, mix well.
6.Make small round vada & deep fry in hot oil till light golden in colour.
7.Serve vada hot with any chutney/sauce.
