We can prepare this yummy cake in two ways,one – a chocolate cake, another one – moist cake/ pudding with chocolate sauce.
Ingredients:
All purposeflour/ maida – 1cup,
Powdered sugar – 3/4 cup,
Bread crumbs – 1cup,
Baking powder – 1Tsp,
Baking soda – 1Tsp,
Vanilla essence – 1/2 Tsp,
Milk – boiled and cooled to room temp – quantity required to prepare soft dough, (approximately 3/4 cup of milk),
Cocoa powder – 3 Tablesp,
Nuts – cashew nuts, almonds etc 2 Tablesp,
Oil/ Butter/ Margarine – 4 Tablespoons,
Method:
1).Preheat the oven for 10 min.at 180 degree C.
2).Seive the flour along with baking powder and baking soda .keep it aside.
3).Add powdered sugar, bread crumbs to the above flour mix.
4).Add vanilla essence, oil to the flour mix and prepare a soft dough by adding milk little by little.
5).Spread the dough on a greased baking tray and sprinkle nuts over the it.Pour 1/2 cup of boiling water slowly over the dough and Wait for a minute.
6).Carefully keep the tray in a preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 min at 180 degree C.
7).Insert a toothpick and check .The cake Is baked if the tooth pick comes out clean.
8).Let it cool completely. Invert it on a plate and cut it into pieces.
9).Alternatively pour 1 cup of more boiling water over dough and bake. In this step (after inverting the cake/ pudding ) you will find little chocolate sauce underneath the pudding.Serve this pudding along with some ice cream.
Tip:
A).I used normal measuring cups.
B).I used peanuts for garnishing.
