Aloo Chapathi

Ingredients:
Whole wheat flour – 250 Gms,
Potato – 2, medium size, washed, boiled, peeled and grated fine,
Salt,
Green chilli – 2, chopped fine,
Red chilli powder – 1/4 Tsp,
Onion – 1,small, chopped fine,
Ginger grated – 1/4 Tsp,
Coriander leaves – 1Tablesp,chopped fine,
Jeera – 1/2 Tsp,dry fried and powdered,
Oil or ghee to prepare chapathi,
Wheat flour for dusting
Method:
1).Make a little stiff dough with the flour, potato, a tablesp of oil, chilli, ginger, coriander, jeera powder, chilli powder, onion along with salt.
2).There is no need to add water to prepare dough as potato and onion ( with salt ) contain enough moisture.
3).Make big lemon sized balls and prepare thin round discs.
4).Fold the disc twice to form a triangle , smear little oil and prepare it into chapathi.
5).Bake it on tawa using oil/ ghee till light brown on both sides.
6).Serve with any dal item/ raitha/ pickle.
7).Alternately you can prepare the filling separately . Put the filling on a single round disc .Gather the edges and make round thin roti.Bake it on tawa using oil or ghee.
OR
8).Put the filling in between two thin round discs ,pinch and close the edges. Press lightly with belan and bake on both sides till light brown.
Tip:
a).Mash / grate potato when still warm.
