Cool cucumber raitha

This yummy and delicious raitha is prepared with keera kaya ( cucumber )and fresh curds.
Ingredients :
Tender keera kaya – 1,medium,
Onion – 1, medium, chopped fine,
Green chilli – 2,chopped fine,
Ginger – grated ,1/2 Tsp,
Salt,
Cummin – 2 pinches,
Red chilli – 1, broken into pieces,
Mustard seeds – 2 pinches,
Chopped coriander – 2, Tsp,
Fresh thick curd – 300 Gms,
Curry leaves – 5 to 6,
Oil – 1 Tsp,
Method:
1).Wash, peel and grate keera Kaya fine,keep it aside.
2).Beat curd well with out lumps.Add salt, ginger, onion, green chilli and coriander .Mix well
3).Squeeze keera gratings to remove excess moisture and add it to the curd mixture.
4).Heat oil, add mustard seeds, cummin,red chilli and curry leaves.Fry till mustard crackles.Pour this tadka over curd mixture and mix well.
5).Serve this raitha With rice prepatations / chapathi/ poori.u
Tip:
You can just sprinkle 2 pinches of mustard powder over raitha and mix well.This gives extra flavour and taste to the raitha.This tip is given by my Sister Smt.vijaya Lakhmi who is a good cookery expert.
