Cauliflower masala fry with non . veg . taste

This awesome vegetarian fry is prepared with cauliflower and tastes just like non veg curry.
Ingredients:
Healthy firm cauliflower head – approximately 400 gms,
Moong dal without husk – 125 gms, washed and soaked for 2 hrs,
Onion – 2, medium, sliced fine,
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp,
Caushew nuts – 8,
Salt,
Curd – 2 Tablesp
Haldi – 1/4 tsp,
Red chilli powder – 2 tsp,
Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp,
Dhania powder – 1 Tablesp,
Black pepper powder – 1/8 tsp,
Jeera – 1/2 tsp,
Sounf – 2 pinch,
Oil – 4 Tablesp,
Desi ghee – 1 tablesp,
Tomato – 2 medium, blanch and make puree along with cashew.
Chopped coriander leaves – 2 tsp,
Method:
1).Wash cauliflower and separate into florets. Drop them in hot water with 1/4 tsp of haldi and 1/2 tsp of salt. Allow it to soak for 10 to 15 minutes to remove any insects or worms. Drain the florets and keep it aside.
2).Prepare marinade by mixing ginger garlic paste, curd, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, pepper,salt and garam masala. Smear the marinade throughly over the florets and keep it for 30 min to 1 hr.
3).Heat 2 Tablesp of oil in a non stick kadai and fry the marinated cauliflower florets under low flame till crispy. Remove and keep it aside.
4).Drain the moong dal and grind it into a course paste along with sounf. Keep it aside.
5).Heat remaining oil and ghee, fry jeera, onions with little salt till the onions turn soft. Add tomato puree, cook till the raw smell disapears. Add dhania powder, remaining chilli powder, fry for few seconds, add moong dal paste and fry till it becomes lightly browned . Now add the fried florets .
6). Mix well and continue frying till the dal mix and florets are well blended and become crispy. Garnish with chopped coriander.
7).Serve this very delicious cauliflower side dish with rice preparations / break fast items like chapathi, poori, dosa etc.
