Ingredients:
Potato – medium, 4 approximately 300 gms, washed,boiled with little salt,peeled. and cut into 1 to 1 and half inch pieces,
Oil – 2 Tablesp,
Salt,
Dhania seeds – 1 Tablesp,
Jeera – 1/2 tsp,
Black pepper – 5 to 6 no,
Saunf – a pinch,
Urad dal with out husk – 1 tsp,
Channa dal – 1 tsp,
White til – 1 Tablesp,
Peeled garlic – 6,
Red chilli – 4to 5,
Curry leaves – few,
Method:
1).Heat a pan,dry fry dhania, jeera, pepper, dals, somp,garlic one by one till dals change colour.Remove on to a plate.
2).Fry red chilli with a drop of oil and fry till they change colour. Add curry leaves and fry till they turn crispy. Lastly add til and stir once and remove. Blend the fried masala ingredients into a little course powder along with little salt. Keep it aside.
3).Heat oil in a non stick pan ,add potato pieces and fry under low medium flame till they are well golden browned in colour.
4)Sprinkle the masala powder over potato pieces and toss very well. Fry for 2 minutes under low flame and remove.
5).Serve this flavourful crispy potato fry with hot plain rice and sambar/ as side dish for other rice preparations.You can have it as a snack too.
