This flavourful tasty Tomato Rasam can be prepared within minutes.
Ingredients:
Firm red tomato – 2 medium size,( washed and chopped roughly into small pieces ),
Salt,
Desi ghee and oil – 1 TSP each,
Tamarind paste – 1/4 TSP,
Dhania seeds – 2 TSP,
Black pepper – 6 to 8 no,
Jeera – 1/2 TSP,
Hing – A pinch,
Haldi – 1/8 Tsp,
Peeled garlic – 2,
Mustard seeds – 1/8 Tsp,
Curry leaves – few,
Chopped coriander – 2 TSP,
Red chilli – 1 broken into pieces,
Method<:
1).Dry fry dhania, jeera, pepper and pound them with garlic into course powder and keep aside.
2).Heat oil in a pan,add mustard, hing, curry leaves, red chilli and fry for a second.Add rasam powder ,fry for 2 seconds, add chopped tomato, haldi and salt. Fry tomato till it becomes soft.
3).Add 300 to 350 ml of water along with tamarind paste. Mix well and let it boil for 2 to 3 minutes. sprinkle chopped coriander and serve with hot plain rice along with papad.
Tip:
a).You can simply enjoy it just like soup.
b).If you want it more spicy you can add a little chilli powder.
