Protein rich Green Channa Sundal

Ingredients:
Green Channa – 120 Gms,
Onion – 1,medium,sliced fine,
Green chilli – 3,cut into very small pieces,
Jeera – 1/4 Tsp,
Chopped ginger – 1/2 Tsp,
Grated coconut – 2 Tablesp,
Mustard seeds – 1/4 Tsp,
Red chilli – 1,broken into pieces,
Salt,
Oil – 1 and 1/2 Tablesp,
Curry leaves – 6 to 8
Lime juice – 1/2 Tsp,
Peeled garlic – 5 to 6,
Method:
1).Wash and soak the Channa for 6 hrs or overnight.
2).Drain water and put the Channa in cooker along with 500 ml water. Add little salt.
3).Cook the chana till 4 whistles and remove from fire. Let the cooker cool.
4).Once the cooker is cool, drain the water and keep the Channa aside.
5).Heat oil,add mustard seeds, urad dal, crushed garlic, jeera, red chilli and fry till dal changes colour. Add Onion, chilli pieces, ginger and fry till Onion becomes pink. Add boiled channa, mix well, cover and cook for a minute under low flame.
6).check salt. Sprinkle coriander, coconut gratings and mix well. Drizzle few drops of lemon juice if you desire. Serve as tea time snack. Suitable snack for diabetics.
