Sugar free wheat flour halwa

This is a healthy version of wheat flour halwa using dates and jaggery.
Ingredients:
whole wheat flour – 1 and 1/4 Cup,( heaped ),( measuring cup )
Seed less dates – 10hc,( washed, soaked and ground into a fine paste ),
Jaggery powder – 4 Tablesp,
Cardamom powder – 1/4 Tsp,
Cashew nuts bits and almond slivers – 2 Tsp each,
Melon seeds – 1 Tsp,
Ghee – 4 Tablesp,
Method:
1).Prepare a soft dough ( like for Chapathi ) with wheat flour using water. Put this dough in a big bowl and pour 4 to 5 cups of water. Let it soak for 4 hrs.
2).After 4 hrs, mash and try to dissolve the dough in water to get maximum wheat milk. Filter the milk through a sieve to remove the solid sticky fibrous part. Discard it. Keep the milk undisturbed for 2 hrs.
3).After 2 hrs, remove the upper water portion by gently tlting the bowl so that the thick sediment remains in the bowl. Keep it aside.
4).Take a thick bottomed pan and fry the date paste in a tablesp of ghee for 2 minutes.Add jagerry powder to this paste. Mix well.
5).In a separate pan heat the wheat milk on low flame and add date jaggery paste , elachi powder, and 2/3 tablesp of ghee. Mix well and stir continuously till whole thing becomes a mass leaving the sides of pan.
6).Add half of the nuts and mix well. Pour this into a greased tray. Garnish with the remaining nuts. Smoothen the halwa with a greased spoon. Cool and cut into desired shapes.
Tip:
Diabetics and dieters can also enjoy this sweet in small portions as dates and jaggery are used in place of sugar.
