This dosa is very healthy and tasty too.It is prepared with rice and toor dal.
Ingredients:
Kandi Pappu / toor dal – 50 Gms,
Raw rice – 200 Gms,
Methi seeds – 2 pinches,
Urad dal with out husk – 2 Tablesp,
Salt,
Oil to prepare dosa,
Baking soda – 2 pinches,
Method:
1).wash, soak rice along with dals and methi seeds for minimum 6 hrs or over night.
2).After soaking, drain and grind the rice dal mixture into a fine paste using ice cold water.
3).Let it rest for an hour.No need of fermenting over night.
4).Add salt and soda ,mix well.Add water if batter is very thick.
5).Pour a laddleful of batter on non stick tawa and spread it into a thin ,round dosa.Drizzle little oil over the edges and in the centre of dosa. Cook on both sides and remove.
6).These dosas come out with lovely golden colour because of toor dal.They are a healthy break fast.
7).Serve the dosa with potato poratu ( thalimpu )/ peanut chutney/ coconut chutney.
Tip:
For variation you can add red chillies and coconut gratings to the batter while grinding.
