Karela Chips in Air fryer

These karela chips are prepared in air fryer with minimum oil.
Ingredients:
Karela/ kakara kaya ( Telugu )/ bitter gourd – 3oo Gms,
Besan – 4 Tablesp,
Rice flour – 2 Tablesp,
Red chilli powder – 1/2 Tsp,
Haldi – 1/8 Tsp,
Salt,
Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 Tsp,
Dhania powder – 1/4 Tsp,
Sour curd – 2 Tsp,you can substitute 1/4 tsp tamarind paste or 1/4 tsp amchur powder,
Oil – 3 to 4 Tsp,
Method:
1).Wash the gourds and lightly scrape the outer layer. Cut them into 1/2″ roundels.Rub salt and keep them aside for 15 min.
2).Boil 1/2 litre water along with sour curds and salt.While it is boiling add karela pieces and remove after 3 to 4 min.
3).Drain the water completely and keep them in a bowl.
4).Meanwhile preheat the air fryer for 3 minutes at 200 Degree C.
5).Mix all masala powders with little salt and 1 tsp of oil.Gently rub the masala over karela pieces so that they are nicely coated with it.
6).Place the coated karela on the greased basket of air fryer and air fry them for 15 to 18 min at 180 degree C.
7).Drizzle remaining oil over the chips after 10 min of frying and shake the basket twice or thrice during frying.
8).Check the chips and if necessary fry for 2 more min.
9).Serve these crunchy and healthy chips as side dish.
