Super crispy Masala vada

This crispy masala vada is prepared with Channa dal,little urad dal and rice.
Ingredients:
Channa dal – 250 Gms,
Urad dal – 25 Gms,
Raw rice – 1Tablesp,
Onions – 2,medium,cut into smàllpieces,
Green chilli – 4,cut into small pieces,
Ginger – 3/4″ piece,grated fine,
Salt,
Saunf- 1 pinch,
Curry leaves – about 8,chopped fine,
Coriander leaves – Handful,chopped fine,
Dhania seeds – 2 Tsp,crushed or soaked along with Dals,
Oil to deep fry.
Method:
1).wash Dals with rice and soak in water for 2 hours.( Mix all).
2).Drain out all the water and grind the Dals to a course paste .The paste should be of grainy consistency.
3).Before removing the paste, add dhania seeds and remaining ingredients( except oil).Run the mixie once and remove.
4).Check salt . Make round vada on a plastic sheet (or on palm )and deep fry under medium low flame till light golden in colour.
5).Place them on a paper napkin to absorb excess oil.(Usually there will not be any absorption of excess oil).
Tip:
If the grinding is done in a wet grinder you can definitely get that nice grainy paste / dough.( Still more better is a stone grinder – Rubbu rolu in Telugu- grinding is done manually ).Serve this all time favorite masala vada as tea time snack.
