Arrow root Biscuits

These Arrow root biscuits are prepared with arrow root Powder and white flour/all purpose flour.
Ingredients:
Arrow root Powder – 100 Gms,
White flour – 125 Gms,
Ghee – 3 Tablesp,
Powdered sugar – 3 Tablesp,
Baking powder – 1/2 Tsp,
Milk to bind.
Vanilla essence – few drops( optional).
Method:
1).Seive both the flours along with baking powder and add ghee.Mix well with fingers to prepare like breadcrumbs mix.
2).Add powdered sugar and essence . Add milk little by little to form a soft pliable dough.
3).Make a thin round roti and cut it into rounds after giving pricks all over it.( You can use any small lid of a bottle)
4).Preheat cooker for 8 to 10 min after removing rubber gasket and weight.Spread sand or salt in the cooker.place a small stand and arrange the prepared rounds on a pressure cooker separater or a plate.
4).Bake for 10 min.Turn the biscuits after 7 min in between and bake for 2 to 3 min. again.
5).I baked some biscuits in microwave oven.Arrange the rounds on a microwave safe glass plate and bake them microhigh for 1 min and 30 seconds .Turn them once in between after one minute.Check and if necessary bake for 5 to 10 more seconds .Both the types of biscuits are tasty and crispy.
6).Both types of biscuits are in the image.Upper left plate contains biscuits baked in cooker.Below right side plate contains biscuits baked in microwave oven.
Tip:
If you want you can use butter in place of ghee.But I have got good results with ghee.
