Til Curry / Nuvvula Koora

This delicious curry is prepared with white til.

Chopped coriander – 1 Talesp,

Method:

1).Drain water and make a course paste of til and keep it aside,

2).Heat oil in non stick pan,add mustard seeds, jeera and curry leaves. Fry till mustard seeds splutter,

3).Add onion, green chillies and garlic cloves.Fry till onion becomes soft and pink,

4).Add ginger garlic paste ,dhania powder, haldi and chilli powder, fry for a min,

5).Add til paste and salt.Sprinkle little water and cook covered under low heat,Keep stirring now and then ,to avoid curry sticking to the bottom of the pan,

6).Til paste becomes grainy with very nice aroma ( when it is completely cooked) and the oil is seen at the edges of pan.Garnish with coriander and remove.

7).This protein rich and healthy curry is a perfect side dish for hot plain rice/ chapathi/poori.

Tip:

A).By appearance this curry resembles scrambled egg/Poratu (in fact more tastier than it ).

B).You can add a handful of fresh green peas along with til paste.

C).This curry is from kitchen notes of my sister Smt.Vijaya Lakshmi( who is a good chef and used to be a regular participant of cookery shows on several Telugu channels) with little changes.
