Easy kheema Cutlet
Ingredients:
Mutton (Lamb)kheema – 250Gms
Onion – 1,medium
Red chilli powder – 1Tsp
Haldi – A pinch
Dhania powder – 1Tsp
Chana Dal – 2Tablesp (Soaked in water for 15 min)
Garam masala – 1/4Tsp
Ginger and garlic paste – 3/4Tsp
Potato – 1.Approximately about 50Gms
Salt
Chopped coriander leaves – 1Tablesp
Egg Whites from 2 eggs
All purpose flour or maida/corn flour – 2Tsp
Oil to shallow fry
Method:
1).Wash and cut potato into 4 cubes.Put them in pressure cooker (preferably 3 lits cooker).
2).Wash and keep kheema in a round steel container along with onion,chilli powder,haldi,dhania powder,chana dal,garam masala,coriander leaves,salt and ginger garlic paste.Arrange the container in pressure cooker on one side so that it will not rest on potato pieces.
3).Add 1 cup of water to potatos (no need to add water to steel container) and pressure cook for 4 whistles.
5).After steam escapes remove lid.Grind the contents of the steel container into a coarse but firm paste( no water needed).Add peeled and mashed potato,run the mixie just for few seconds (or mix potato mash and kheema paste with hand)
6).Check salt and make round cutlets out of the kheema paste.Keep them aside.
7).Mix corn flour in a tsp of water and add egg whites with a tiny pinch of salt.Mix well and keep it aside.
8).Dip each cutlet in egg solution and shallow fry on grill pan or non stick pan.Drizzle little oil and fry the cutlets till both sides are light golden in colour.
9).Remove and serve as starter/side dish for lunch/dinner.
Tip:
You can omit egg and use only corn flour solution.
