Peanut Halwa
This halwa is prepared with soaked raw peanuts.It is healthy and tastes very delicious.
Ingredients:
Raw Peanuts-125Gms
Sugar-100Gms
Fine Suji/semolina-30Gms(dry fried)
Cardamom Powder-1/4Tsp
Almond Slivers-2Tsp
Raisins-2Tsp
Cashew nuts bits-2Tsp
Ghee(clarfied butter)-2Tablesp
Method:
1).Soak peanuts in water for 2hrs.Remove the skins and grind it into a smooth paste with out adding water.
2).Fry the paste in ghee in a non stick pan till raw smell goes and becomes light golden in colour.
3).Add sugar,suji, 1/2 quantity of nuts and cardamom powder.Fry the paste stirring continuously till the mass leaves the sides of the pan
4).Sprinkle the remaining nuts as garnish.Cut it into desired shape when it is still warm.
5).When cool,separate the pieces and consume within 2 days.
