Arbi cutlets/Chama dumpa Cutlets
Ingredients:
Chama dumpa/Arbi/Colocasia-200gms
Potato ,Medium-1
Onion,Medium-1,sliced fine
Green chilli-1,chopped fine
Red chilli powder-1/2Tsp
Haldi-A pinch
Garam Masala-1/4Tsp
Ginger and garlic paste-1/4TSP
Very finly chopped coriander leaves-1Tablesp
Lime juice-6 to7drops/Amchur-2 Pinches
Bread Crumbs-2Tablesp
White Til-1Tablesp
Cashew nuts-4,Dry fried and broken into bits(optional)
Salt
Oil for shallow frying
Corn flour solution with 2 tablesp.of corn flour and 5tablesp.of water
Method:
1)Potato and arbi are to be boiled,peeled and mashed with out lumps.keep it aside
2)Add all the ingredients except corn flour solution,til and oil.Make a smooth paste using hand so that every thing is blended well
3)Make small round cutlets out of the dough
4)Dip the rounds one by one in corn flour solution and sprinkle til over them .Using little oil shallow fry them on a flat non stick frying pan to golden in colour on both sides
5)Serve them as side dish/snack with tea.
Tip
You can microwave the potato and arbi by placing them along with a small microsafe cup with water.Donot forget to give 1 to2 pricks over potato and arbi Cook them under microhigh for10 to12min.
