This spicy and tasty bonda is prepared with urad dal
Urad Dal with out husk-300Gms,Soaked in water for 2Hrs
Green Chillies-3,Chopped fine
Chopped Coriander Leaves-1Tablesp
Chopped Curry leaves-1Tsp
Fresh Coconut,Cut into small bits-1Tablesp
Roughly crushed pepper corn-2 pinchs
Oil to deep fry
1)Drain and grind the urad dal to a firm and fluffy paste by using little amount of chilled water
2)Add all ingredients (except oil) and mix well with a fork
3)Heat oil and drop small lime size round bondas into hot oil. Fry slowly under medium heat to golden brown in colourand remove them on to a paper napkin to absorb excess oil if any
4)Serve this tasty masala bonda along with evening tea/as breakfast item along with idli/pongal with coconut chutney.
Always use chilled or cool water while grinding for dosa/idli/vada to prevent dough( or batter) getting heated up.
