Spicy Green Tomato Chutney.

South Indian Vegetarian Side Dish.

Ingradients:
Green tomato-250Gms.
Onion-1-medium,sliced fine.
Green chillies-5,each cut into twos.
Jeera-1/2tSP.
Pealed garlic cloves-6.
Channa Dal-1tablesp.
Mustard seeds-1/2Tsp.
Red chilli-One,cut nto two.
Hing-a pinch.
Curry patta leaves-8to10.
Tamarind paste-1tsp.
Chopped coriander leaves-1tablesp.
Salt.
Oil-2tablesp.

Method:

1).Heat 1/2 tablesp. of oil,add mustard seeds,hing,jeera,red Chilli and curry leaves.
2).Fry till the mustard seeds splutter.Add Channa Dal,fry till dal changes colour.
3).Remove the tadka mix into a plate.
4).Heat the remaining oil in the same pan and add Onion and Green Chilli,fry till onion becomes pink and soft.
5).Add tomato Pieces and salt,mix well and cover the pan for 2to3min.
6).Stir and let tomato becomes Soft but not mushy.
7).Transfer half of the tadka into the mixie and make a course powder.(Remove the red chilli along with remaining tadka).
8).Add tomato Pieces,garlic and tamarind paste to the powder in mixie and Grind it into a course Paste.
9).Remove the chutney into a bowl.Add the remaining tadka to it.
10).Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
11).Serve This Spicy Green Chutney With Plain Rice/Idli/Dosa/Pongal.
