ingredients
Rice flour-4cups or any measure,
Maida-1cup,
Melted ghee-less than 1/4cup,
Onion-2-medium-cut into small pieces,
Green chillies-3-chopped fine,
Ginger-1″piece-chopped fine,
Chana dal-1tablesp -soaked in water for1hr,
Raw groundnuts-1tablesp-soaked in water for1hr,
Chopped curry patta leaves-1tablesp,
salt
Oil to deep fry ,
method,
1)combine flours with salt and ghee,mix well,
2)Add all ingredients to the flour mixture(except oil) ,mix very well to prepare a tight but
pliable dough by adding water little by little,keeping in mind that we have already added onions,
3)Take small balls of dough, with the help of fingers,drop flattened portions of it into
medium hot oil,fry till they turn light golden in colour,
4)Remove the pakoda on to a paper napkin to absorb excess oil if any,
5)serve this tasty and crispy snack with evening tea,
6)This snack keeps fresh for 2wks,upto 4wks if kept in fridge,
note,
As the groundnuts swell considerably after soaking,(to avoid nuts escaping into oil while frying),
put them in a zip lock bag and gently crush them by pressing a roller pin over them,(donot mash).
