Mango coconut chutney

Ingredients:

1 – medium size green mango, cut into small pieces/grated
4 – green chillies, cut each into two
4 tbsp – grated fresh coconut
1/4 tsp – cumin
1 – red chilli, broken into pieces
1 tsp – urad dal
Salt
Asafoetida, a pinch
6 – peeled garlic cloves
1 tbsp – oil
8 – curry leaves
2 tsp – chopped coriander leaves

Method:

1.Grind mango, coconut, green chillies, salt and garlic into a coarse paste; keep aside.
2.Prepare tempering with mustard seeds, cumin, asafoetida, urad dal, red chilli and curry leaves.
3.Pour this over the prepared chutney, add chopped coriander and mix well.
4.Serve with hot plain rice along with a tsp of ghee.
