Fried channa dal chutney

Ingredients:

Fried channa dal – 200gms
Green chillies – 4
Dessicated coconut /fresh grated coconut – 2 tbsp
Jeera – 1/4 tsp
Tamarind paste – 1/2 tsp (or 1tsp lime juice)
Cloves of garlic (peeled) – 3
Salt
Chopped coriander – 2 tsp

For tempering:
Oil – 1tsp
Mustard seeds – 1/4tsp
Curry patta leaves – 6
Urad dal – 1tsp
Red chilli – 1 (broken into pieces)

Method:

1. Mix all ingredients for chutney and prepare a nice paste in mixie.
2. Prepare tempering &pour this over chutney,mix well and serve.
3. Can be served with dosa/ idli/ pongal/ upma.
