Masala mini buns in kadai

These masala buns are very delicious and easy to prepare in kadai.
All purpose flour – 200 Gms,
Salt ,
Butter – 2 Tablesp,
Fresh curd – 1/2 cup,( measuring cup ),
Jeera – 1/2 Tsp,
Chopped coriander – 2 Tablesp,
Oil ,- 1 Tablesp,
Green chilli paste – 1/4 Tsp,
Chopped ginger and garlic – 1/4 Tsp each,
Baking powder – 1 Tsp,
Baking soda – 1/4 Tsp,
Cashew nut bits – 1/2 Tablesp,( optional ),
Milk / water – little as required.
1).Mix curd, baking powder, baking soda and salt .Mix well .
2).Seive flour into curd mixture and mix well. Add butter and blend well.Add milk little at a time and prepare a sticky dough.
3).Transfer the dough on to kitchen platform and knead well for 3 to 4 minutes. Drizzle some oil while kneading .
4).Add ginger, garlic, chilli paste, jeera, chopped coriander. Cashew bits ( if using ) and little oil. Knead the dough with the added ingredients and make a smooth log.
5).Divide it into six portions and adjust them in greased rectangular bread mould. Cover with a damp cloth and allow to rest for 1 hr.
6).Meanwhile preheat the kadai at medium heat for 15 minutes with a small stand in the centre keep it ready.
7).After 1 hr. remove the cloth on the mould and give it a milk wash . Arrange the mould on the stand in kadai and bake it under low medium heat for 30 to 40 minutes . Brush with butter and cover with cloth for few minutes.
You can bake them at 180 degrees. C for 25 to 35 minutes in O.T.G.. Serve these delicious masala buns warm with tomato sauce / any gravy / low fat butter.
