Cauliflower Chutney

This chutney is an excellent side dish for any breakfast recipe and also with hot plain rice.
Ingredients:
Firm and healthy cauliflower – 150 Gms,thoroughly washed and grated fine,
Fresh coconut grated – 4 Tablesp,
Green chilli – 3,
Ginger – 1/2″ piece,
Red chilli – 1,broken into 2,
Juice from 1/2 lime or 1/4 Tsp tamarind paste,
Peeled garlic cloves – 4,
Salt,
Mustard seeds – 1/2 Tsp,
Curry patta leaves – 5 to 6,
Jeera – 1/4 Tsp,
Split urad dal – 1/4 Tsp,
Oil – 2 Tablesp,
Method:
1).Heat 2 Tsp of oil,fry green chilli,jeera, garlic and cauliflower.Suite under low heat for 2 min just to soften the cauliflower ( but not cooked).
2).Grind the above mix with coconut ,salt and lime juice into a coarse paste.
3).Prepare tadka with mustard seeds ,red chilli and curry leaves in the remaining oil.Pour it over the prepared chutney.
Serve it as side dish .
Tip:
a).If fresh coconut is not available use dessicated coconut powder.
b).Add a cup of fresh, well blended curds to it, awesome raitha is ready for you.
