Karela Fry in Air Fryer
Ingredients:
Karela-4″to5″size-6
Oil-4Tsp
Salt
Stuffing:
Fried channa dal-2 to3 Tablesp
Red chilli powder-1Tsp
Dhania powder-1Tablesp
Jeera powder-1/2Tsp
Peeled garlic cloves-5
Method:
1)Grind all the ingredients (for stuffing) into a fine powder along with little salt.Add a tablesp of water(or more) and 2tsp of oil into it.Mix well and keep it aside.
2)Lightly scrape the karela .Give a slit and smear little salt and keep it aside for 1/2hr.
3)Mean while preheat the air fryer at 180 degrees C for about 3 min.
4)SqUeeze the karela to remove moisture and stuff them with the prepared stuffing.Smear the remaining masala over them.
5)Arrange them in a greased stainless Steel plate and keep it over the wire rack.cook them for 10 min at 180 degrees C.Remove the basket and turn them.Brush them with little oil and cook them for another 10 min.
6)Check and cook them for another 5 min till they become light brown and crispy.
7)Serve them as a side dish.
Tip:
Put the karela in boiling water (with little salt) just for 2min.Remove and sqUeeze out the water.stuff them with masala and proceed as per the above method.This results in outer crispy karela with soft inner part.
If you want you can directly arrange the vegetable on the wire rack.
