Ragi/ finger millet/ nachini flour is one of the best millet flours with no.of health benefits.We can use it as porridge/ many break fast items like dosa/ idli/ smoothi/ snacks like pakoda etc.Here iam preparing delicious, melt in mouth laddu in combination with jaggery, protein rich peanuts and sesame seeds.
Ingredients:
Ragi flour( heaped ) – 1 and 1/2 cup ( measuring cup ),
Peanuts – 100 gms, roasted and husk removed,
White til – 50 gms, dry fried ,
Pinch of salt,
Desi ghee – 2 to 3 tablesp,
Jaggery – 1 and 1/4 cup or little more,
Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp,
Walnuts – 6 to 7, chopped into small bits,
Method:
1).Fry ragi flour in 2 tablesp of ghee till we get nice aroma.Keep it aside.
2).First grind the peanuts and sesame seeds into course powder. Remove it into a bowl.
3).Put ragi flour, jaggery powder ,mix with spoon and blend well using pulse.
4).Add cardamom powder, peanut til mixture to blender. Mix with spoon once, blend all the ingredients using pulse once or twice.
5).Remove the ground mix into a mixing bowl.Sprinkle the walnut bits. Mix the whole mixture once and prepare small lemon size laddus .if necessary add another tablesp of ghee.
