Korameenu fish fry / Red snapper fish fry.

This crispy ,healthy and tasty korameenu fish fry is a popular and favourite non vegetarian dish in Andhra area.A delicious tangy pulusu is prepared with the same fish.Basically fish is a good food with lot of nutritional and medical benefits.Even for diabetics it is advised as one of the best foods.
Ingredients:
Korameenu fish – 6 to 8 pieces with 3/4″ thickneness,
Salt ,
Crystal salt – 2 Tsps,
Haldi – 1 Tsp,
Oil – 2 to 3 Tablesp,
Red chilli powder – 1 Tsp,
Dhania powder – 1/4 Tsp,
Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 Tsp,
Method:
1).Remove the Scales and wash the fish thoroughly.Cut the fish into 1/2″to 3/4″ thick slices.Rub the fish pieces with salt crystals and little haldi so that there will not be any smell.Any fine scales if remaining will be washed away.
2).Mix chilli powder, a pinch of haldi, dhania powder, ginger garlic paste and salt.
3).Gently rub this masala on the fish pieces and keep it aside for 30 min.
4).Heat a (shallow) fry pan or grill pan .Drizzle some oil on the pan and arrange the fish pieces on it.
5).Fry the fish under low flame.Drizzle few drops of oil now and then till the fish turns crisp and golden in colour.Remove from fire.
6).Serve this fry as side dish for rice preparations.
Tip:
Include few drops of lemon juice in the masala to lessen the smell.My recipe Korameenu pulusu is in my non vegetarian list.
