Ingredients:
Chama dumpa (Telugu) / Arbi / Colocasia – 300 Gms,( select 3 to 4″ size ,round or oblong ),
Salt, the
Red chilli powder – 3/4 Tsp,
Haldi – A pinch,
Dhania powder – 1/4 Tsp,
Garam masala powder – A pinch,
White Til – 1 Tablesp,
Channa dal – 1 Tablesp,
Jeera – 1/4 Tsp,
Gínger garlic paste – 1/4 Tsp,
Oil – 3 Tablesp,
Method:
1).Wash and boil colocasia till tender.Remove the peels and slice them vertically into thick 3/4″ slices.
2).Dry fry til ,remove .Fry Channa dal and jeera .
3).Grind Channa dal,jeera,til,dhania powder,chilli powder ,ginger garlic paste along with garam masala, into a smooth paste using little water.
4).Smear the arbi slices with the ground masala and leave them for 5 min.
5).Grease the tawa with little oil and arrange the slices on it with out overlapping .
6).Drizzle oil over the slices and fry them under low Medium fire till well browned on both sides .
7).Serve them as side dish.They taste great .Crispy out side and soft inside.
Tip:
Reduce spices for kids.It will be a sure hit with them.
