Healthy Palak dal

This tasty and healthy dal is prepared in pressure cooker.
Palak leaves - 20to 25, washed and chopped fine,
Toor dal - 200 Gms,
Tomato - 2, medium, chopped into big pieces,
Green chilli - 4, Slit vertically,
Onion - 1 medium, sliced fine,
Brinjal - 1 medium, cut into cubes,
Red chilli powder - 1/2 Tsp,
Haldi - 1/8 Tsp,
Oil - 2 to 3 Tablespoons,
Thick tamarind paste - 1 Tsp,
Mustard seeds - 1/4 Tsp,
Jeera - 1/4 Tsp,
Red chilli - 2 broken into pieces,
Peeled garlic cloves - 5,roughly crushed,
Curry leaves - A sprig,
Pappu masala ( my secret recipe masala for tasty dal preparations ) - 1 Tablesp/ sambar powder,
Hing - a pinch ( optional),
1).pressure cook toor dal with green chilli, tomato, brinjal, chilli powder, haldi,half onion pieces, a tsp of oil and 300 ml. Of water - for 3 whistles.
2).When the cooker is cool, remove the lid and mash the ingredients with back of the laddle.Add salt, mix well and keep it aside.
3).Heat oil in a pan, add hing, mustard, red chilli, garlic, Jeera, curry leaves and fry for few seconds. Add onion and fry till it turns pink and soft.
4).Add chopped palak, mix well and cook covered for 2 minutes till palak becomes tender. Now add a tsp of tamarind paste and 30ml of water.When it starts boiling add mashed toor dal paste.
5).Mix well and let it cook under low flame for a minute. Remove from fire and sprinkle chopped coriander. Mix well and serve as side dish.
