Dilkush/ Dilpasand

All purpose flour – 200Gms, seived,
Pinch of salt,
Baking powder – 1Tsp,
Baking soda – 1/4 Tsp,
Cooking oil / melted butter – 2 Tablesp,
Powdered sugar – 1 Tablesp + 4 Tablesp,
Elachi powder – 1/4 Tsp,
Desiccated coconut powder – 4 Tablesp,
Tutti frutti – 2 Tablesp,
Nuts like cashew / badam – slivers 2 Tsp each,
Raisins – 1 Tablesp,
Milk for dough ( optional ),
Left over sponge cake pieces – powdered 2 Tablesp,( optional ),
1).Prepare soft dough with flour, baking powder, baking soda,1 Tablesp sugar powder and 2 tablespoons hot oil, using water/ milk .Keep it aside covered for 20 minutes.
2).Mix all other stuffing ingredients very well. Keep it aside.
3).Knead the prepared dough once and divide it into two balls, one smaller and other little bigger than the first one.
4).Prepare rounds out of these balls. Arrange the stuffing on the bigger one and cover it with smaller round. Gather the edges of the lower big chapathi over smaller one and enclose the stuffing securely.
5).Give a couple of nicks in the centre of prepared dilkush so that it will not puff up while baking. Give milk wash.
6).Bake it at 180 degree C for 20 to 25 minutes in O.T.G. Smear little butter on it and let it cool under damp cloth. Cut the dilkush into pieces and serve.
