Custard powder Ice cream is very easy to prepare and it is very delicious. Here iam using sugar free powder – sucralose in place of sugar in this ice cream and can be enjoyed even by diabetics and dieters.
Ingredients:
Milk – 1/2 litre (Full fat milk if you prefer ),
Sugar free powder – 2.measures ( measure is provided in sugar free powder bottle),
Custard powder with vanilla flavor – 2 Tablespoons,
Vanilla essence – 1/4 Tsp,
Malai preserved at home / Amul fresh cream- 3 Tablespoons,
Nuts or tutti frutty for garnishing. ( optional),
Method:
1).Mix custard powder with 3 tablespoons of milk with out lumps and keep it aside.
2).Boil milk and let it reduce to 3/4 of the original quantity. Add sucralose and continue to stir.
3).Add custard powder solution to the boiling milk and keep on stirring to avoid lump formation.
4).Stop stirring when the mixture starts to become thick and coats the mixing spoon.
5).Add vanilla essence, mix very well and remove.
6).Let the solution completely cools down. Blend it in mixie ( along with fresh cream or home made Malai if using) using pulse few times. Now pour it in an air tight container and keep it in freezer for 6 to 8 hrs or overnight
7).Remove the container from freezer and keep it in fridge comparment 1/2 hr before serving.Serve this melt in mouth yummy ice cream with nuts.
Tipin:
a).As it is prepared with low fat milk and sugar free powder sucralose , undoubtedly it can be enjoyed by diabetics and dieters with moderate servings.
b).Sugar free powder can be adjusted according to your preference.
