This healthy khakra is prepared with wheat flour and finger millet flour.
Ingredients:
Wheat flour – 1 Cup,
Finger millet flour / nachni flour – 3/4 Cup,
Green chilli and ginger paste – 1/4 Tsp,
Jeera – 1/2 Tsp, crushed, n
Salt,
White til – 2 Tsp,( optional),
Oil – 2 Tablespoons,
Kasuri methi – 1/2 Tablespoon, lightly toasted and crushed with palms,
Method:
1).Put all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix very well. Add very little water and prepare a moderately stiff dough. Smear little oil and let it rest for 20 minutes.
2).After 20 min. divide the dough into small balls and prepare thin papad type rounds.
3).Dry roast the rounds on tawa under low heat till nicely browned. Remove and cool. Stock them in Air tight container.
