Ingredients:
Sweet potato mash – 1/2 cup ,potatoes washed, boiled, peeled and mashed, ( fibres removed if any),
All purpose flour/ maida – 1 cup,
Powdered sugar – 3 Tablespoons,
Vanilla essence – few drops, ( or Cardamom powder 1/4 Tsp ),
Melted butter/ ghee – 3 Tablespoons,
Baking powder – 1 Tsp,
Salt – A pinch,
Milk as per requirement.
Method:
1).Seive flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Keep it aside.
2).Mix mashed potato and melted butter. Add flour mix along with essence and knead gently into a soft dough. Add little milk if necessary.
3).Prepare small balls and lightly flatten them.
4).Pre heat the oven at 180 degree C.
4).Arrange the flattened balls on greased baking tray and bake them for 8 minutes at 180 degree C. If necessary bake for another 1 or 2 more minutes.
5).Serve the biscuits with tea.
Tip:
You can adjust the quantity of sugar powder as per your taste ( as already potatoes are sweet ).
