Ingredients:
All purpose flour/ maida – 200 Gms,
Freshly grated coconut – 100 Gms,
Ghee – 2 Tablespoons,
Almonds – 10,made into powder,
Sugar – 250 Gms,
Milk /curd – 1Tablesp or a little more,
Cordamum powder – 1/2 Tsp,
Rose water – 1Tsp,
Oil to fry,
Method:
1).Make sugar syrup with sugar and 100ml water to a 2 string consistancy.Add red food colour, elachi powder and rose water. Keep it aside.
2).Fry maida in a tablespoon of ghee till it just changes in colour.Remove.
3).To the same pan add remaining ghee, fry coconut till a little dry.Add badam powder and fried maida. Mix well.
4).Prepare a soft dough adding a spoon of milk or curd.
5).Prepare small marble sized balls and deep fry them under low medium heat till light golden in colour.
6).Drop the balls in warm sugar syrup. Let them be in syrup for an hr.Remove and arrange them on a plate to serve.
Tip:
While serving garnish with almond and pistha slivers.
