These crispies are made with maida and little pickle masala. We can prepare them within 10 minutes with minimum ingredients.
Ingredients:
Al purpose flour/ maida – 250 Gms,
Any pickle masala ( like Avakaya/ coriander pickle etc with out any pieces) – 1 to 2 Tablespoons,
Salt if necessary,
Jeera – 1/2 Tsp,
Vamu/ carrom seeds – 1/4 Tsp, ( crushed between palms), flavoured
Oil to deep fry,
Method:
1).Mix all the ingredients (except oil) using little water to prepare a smooth and little stiff dough.
2).Devide the dough into equal sized balls and prepare thin rounds using little flour to dust.
3).Cut into diamonds or triangles and fry them under low medium heat to light golden in colour.
4).Remove them on to a paper napkin to absorb excess oil if any.
5).Cool and store them in an air tight containoer.Serve them with tea or as lunch box item for kids. Can keep fresh for 2 to 3 wks.
Tip:
Amount of pickle masala can be increased or decreased as per your taste. You can prepare rounds in Poori press.
