Special Dhania Karam
This powder can be served with idli/upma/pongal
Ingredients:
Dhania Seeds-5Tablesp
Jeera-1Tsp
Channa Dal-1Tablesp
Peanuts-1Tablesp(dry fried and husk removed)
Peeled Garlic Cloves-5
Salt
Red chillies-5 to6
oil-2Tsp
Method:
1)Fry chillies in 1/2 tsp of oil and remove
2)Add a tsp of oil and fry Dhania seeds till nice aroma appears.Remove
3)Add remaining oil and fry channa dal,jeera,garlic and remove
4)Combine all and make a course powder in a mixie
5)Preserve it in a clean bottle and use for break fasts like idli/upma/pongal
6)Keeps fresh for 10 to15days.But keep the bottle in fridge as we added garlic.
Tips
Enjoy this Chutney powder with plain rice and a tsp of ghee.Tastes great.
You can sprinkle this powder on dosa before removing from tawa.
You can sprinkle this powder on dry curries like fries.
