Vermicelli Halwa

Ingredients:
Vermicelli/Semiya-250gms

Fried Channa Dal Powder-2Tablesp

Milk powder-3Tablesp/Condensed milk-2Tablesp

Milk-150ml

Sugar-125gms

Ghee-3Tablesp

Elachi powder-1/4Tsp

Cashew Nut pieces+Almond slivers-30Gms

A pinch of orange or lemon yellow food colour

Method:

1)Mix gram flour and milk powder.Add milk slowly to form a uniform batter with out lumps.Keep it aside

2)Fry the nuts in a tsp of ghee and keep it aside

3)Fry semiya in a tsp of ghee till light golden in colour.

4)Add 500 ml hot water and cook semiya under low fire till soft

5)Add sugar and little orange/lemon food colour,stir well till done.

6)Add milk batter slowly and stir continously to form an uniform mass.Add remaining ghee and elachi powder during this step.Remove the pan when the mixture leaves the sides of the vessel

7)Garnish with nuts.When warm cut into pieces.

8)Serve warm as dessert.

Tip:

Make a paste of gram flour and milk powder with little warm milk.Next add remaining milk to form uniform batter.
